Kelly English, M.A. ABA
Early Communication & Certified Dyslexia Specialist

Kelly English is the founder and resource development specialist for Hands 4 Learning - an innovative approach to developmental domain based curriculum, the ASL Bank with over 600 American Sign Language images for use in lesson plan creation and resource materials – that truly support our Early Childhood Educators, Interventionists and Teachers.  Kelly earned her Bachelors Degree in Communication and Masters Degree in Human Behavior focusing on primary research in using American Sign Language (ASL) with infants and young children.  Utilizing her knowledge and background in American Sign Language, Kelly trains Childcare Professionals, Teachers and Parents across the U.S. how to create communication rich environments focusing on effective and early communication, and vocabulary development with infants, toddlers, special need and school aged children.  A passion and a practice, Kelly writes children’s books integrating a multi-lingual experience for children while assisting with language development, early literacy and Kindergarten readiness.  Kelly has co-authored a handful of curricula introducing ASL into the childcare settings for language development with a focus on learning styles as effective teaching tools as well as classroom management.  She is a Certified Dyslexia Specialist and specifically trained and certified in Orton-Gillingham based curriculum.  Kelly is currently completing her Board Certification courses for the designation of Board Certified Behavior Analyst, 2012.  Kelly enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge with those caring for and educating children.  She has a uniquely humorous and fun way to express the needed information to assist in the enhancement of children’s lives.
